INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR POWER BRAKE BOOSTER #52-25A-B-C-D
1. Remove master cylinder from cowl
2. Tap out 2 studs (that held master cylinder) from brake/clutch
inner support.
3. Remove brake push rod & swivel from brake pedal by removing
clevis pin & clip
4. Remove swivel from rod and thread it & nut on rod on the rear
of the booster.
5. Remove left hand windshield wiper arm & vent grill.
6. Check fit of booster & install and rivet upper power
booster nut plate as per diagram B.
7. Mount booster on cowl with nuts, bolts and washers.
8. Mount master cylinder on front of booster with nuts
and washers.
9. Put correct vacuum fitting in rear of intake (or in carb
for 63).
10. Attach vacuum hose to intake fitting and to plastic
vacuum fitting on booster.
11. Attach brake switch actuator to upper hole in brake
pedal with bolt & nut included.
12. Adjust swivel on booster and attach to lower hole in
brake pedal with clevis pin & clip.
13. Put on new “power brake” pad.
14. If necessary change brake lines to master cylinder
and bleed system.
