on shipments into Canada.

to Canada via UPS
(We do not ship by US Post to Canada, we have had to many problems with
damage and no insurance)
yes we understand
they bill you a lot of customs import fees.
to Avoid these fees:
1. you can specify your own broker - sign up with a broker and find out
the entry prep fees they will bill you.
or
2. ship by UPS AIR services.
UPS does not bill any Entry Prep Fees on AIR Packages.
3. ship to a US Address
- you will need to
fill out credit
card authorization form to do this.
If you are shipping to NY State , you will pay NYS Sales Tax.

What charges will
I be billed ? - UPS Will bill you for all duty, customs,
brokerage fees, tax etc...
1- If your package is
under $1600 , under NAFTA you do not pay any Duty.
We are required to put an itemized invoice in the shipment.
The last line will say "Parts for Antique Auto." and a Certificate of
origin stating value under $1600)
2- You will pay GST
(Goods and Service Tax and PST (Provincial
Sales Tax)
3 -You will pay a
brokerage to UPS - this is hefty - see chart above -
IF YOU
SHIP BY AIR THERE IS NO BROKERAGE FEE ...
- so SHIP BY AIR -
yes you will pay more shipping, but you will save a lot
in brokerage fees. -

Preparation Fee for routine customs clearance of
UPS Worldwide Express Plus, UPS Worldwide
Express, UPS Worldwide Express Saver, and UPS
Worldwide Expedited shipments, including up to
five classification lines. Charges may apply for
more complex customs clearance procedures.
Ground shipments: Customers are responsible for payment of
duties and taxes. When funds are not provided in
advance by the customer, and UPS must post a
bond to allow UPS shipments to be released in
advance of payment to the Canada Border Services
Agency (CBSA), a fee of 2.7 percent (minimum
$5.85) of the amount advanced by UPS will be
charged. To avoid bond fees, call 1-800-PICK-UPS
and ask about our Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
plans.
