67 N03   1967 36.5 GALLON TANK   OWNED BY RICHARD COHEN OF LONG ISLAND NY

In the Years 1963-1967, Chevrolet offered the option of a 36.5 gallon fuel tank. This was ordered as regular production option (R.P.O.) number N03 and was only available in coupes (it just would not fit in a convertible). In 1963 Chevrolet built 76 of them, in 1964- 38, in 1965 - 41, in 1966 -66 and in the last year it was offered, ONLY TWO cars were built with the 36.5 gallon fuel tank option.

Corvette serial number 194377S103243 was built on November 8, 1966. It had an Ermine white exterior and a bright blue interior and was equipped with the following options: 350HP 327 engine, power steering, power brakes, tinted glass, power windows, 4 speed transmission, positraction rear axle 3.36R, AM/FM radio, whitewall tires, air conditioning and the 36.5 gallon fuel tank.

Prior to Richard's purchase in 1988, the car was last registered and used in 1973 by its second owner accounting for the only 33,936 miles on the odometer. Richard Cohen, the current owner, purchased the car from the third owner, who never registered the car. After close inspection, he found that all of the major components were still in the car and the best surprise was finding the Corvette Order Copy still intact (glued to the top of the spare tire tub!).  After being purchased in 1988, the car underwent a complete frame off restoration, which brought the car back to factory specifications.
